The Folklore Library & Archive is a volunteer-run non-profit which aims to provide a globally significant resource for the future. It receives no funding from any authority and so relies on the generosity of those who are interested in its work to survive and flourish.
You can make a one-off donation to the Library and Archive using the donate button above which will link you to the Folklore Podcast donation system, through which we are funded.
You can sign up to make a monthly donation to us, for any amount you choose. Please email us HERE to discuss the donation you would like to make. Your donation will be allocated towards the current fundraising aim each month.

We are currently running a major fundraiser to expand our physical space to allow us to further increase both storage of materials and public access to our collections. To help us to reach our target and learn more about this fundraiser, please click here.
We have a number of sponsorship opportunities which will enable you to support a whole archive or other project. These allow your name or company details to be attached to a project which goes that bit further to further our aims. Please email us HERE if you think you would like to be a part of this discussion.
Or consider visiting the L&A store for some folkloric gift ideas!
Once our initial fundraising goal is reached, there are many further projects we will be embarking on in an effort to preserve and share the resources that we collect.
Future fundraising goals will include:
- Cloud storage for digital archive material
- Continued support for administrative costs (software, website hosting, archive materials, etc)
- Acquisition of books, documents and other collections
