WELCOME TO THE FOLKLORE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVE
We are a UK registered charity based in Devon, where we have a physical reference library, document archives and artefact store. Dedicated to the collection and preservation of folklore materials and at-risk heritage, our constitutional aim is to make our collections freely available to everyone for the public good. You can download and read our full constitution here.
As well as visiting our holdings in person, you can access many of our collections digitally, and we have a rolling programme of digitization to continue to expand our online archives.

OUR MAJOR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
|
As a charity, we rely on public donations as well as grant funding to enable us to exist. We are moving into new premises in 2025 which will allow us to enhance public access to all of our collections as well as providing workspace for researchers to consult our books and documents, examine artefacts and access audio-visual materials. We are running a major fundraiser to help us to find the money needed for rental of this property. If you can help us, please CLICK HERE for more information.
You can also use the Donate button to the right of this box to make a general donation, or become a Friend of the organization on the link below. |
